세계 여러나라의 체육의 역사를 시대별로 소개하고, 각 시대와 문화에 따른 체육의 발전모습을 설명함으로써 현재의 체육을 정확하게 이해하고 진단하도록 한다. 또한 동서양의 체육의 발전과정을 비교하여 체육의 보편성과 특수성이 드러나도록 한다.

The subject has described history of many countries in the world by each time to explain development of sports depending upon culture and to let you understand current sports. The subject has investigated development process of sports in the Oriental countries as well as the Western countries to disclose universality and speciality of sports.
